Important Dates In October

Greetings TAF Academy;

Here’s the most current E-Bulletin  ENEWSOctober5-19.   Please note the upcoming events in October:

  • October 9th Teacher In Service Day – NO SCHOOL
  • October 14th from 8:00-2:45 College Prep Testing Day.  College preparatory testing is happening for all students.  6th and 7th grade students will be doing a college prep activity in their classrooms and our 8th and 9th grade will be taking the PSAT 8/9.  Students in 10th and 11th grade will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT test.  This is a National Merit Scholarship qualifying test.  TAF Seniors will be taking the current version of the SAT test, the updated version will not be available until Spring 2016.

*Please remember to have your students here promptly at 8:00, classroom doors will be closed at 8:10.

  • October 14th from 6:00-8:00 Exhibition Curriculum Night Totem Cafeteria.   TAF Academy teachers will be on hand to explain upcoming Exhibition Curriculum and will also be going over classroom syllabus and expectations.
  • October 16th from 8:00-2:00  National College Fair at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Transportation will be provided.  All  High School Students are encouraged to attend and have been given field trip permission slips.  Please see Ms. McDonald for more information.
  • October 20th from 8:15-10:45  College, Career & Volunteer Fair in the Totem Gym. Students will have the opportunity to meet with presenters from over 50 College, Career and Volunteer groups.
  • October 28th LATE START. Students are to report to advisory at 11:10 then released to lunch. Please call the office if you have any questions
